It didn't take long for nine-time all-star Russell Westbrook to land right back in LA. Monday morning the Utah Jazz bought out the 6'3 guard and California native. He is expected to clear waivers today since no other team could match the salary offer of 47 million to get him. There is a chance Westbrook could practice Thursday and play Friday night if he signs and passes his physical. The Clippers are currently fourth in the Western Conference with a 33-28 record and will host the Sacramento Kings on Friday in their first game after the All-Star break. The 15-year veteran is averaging 15.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 7.1 assists in 28.7 minutes per game coming off the bench this season. I think this will be a great fit for him considering he has already played with Paul George. I feel he will be able to start in this environment the Clippers have. What are y'all thoughts on the sign? And do you see him playing Friday?
